Our client is a thriving medical communications agency seeking an experienced Senior Medical Editor to join their vibrant team located in the London office.
As a Senior Editor you will be expected to review materials from all project stages, whilst being able to edit and proofread to a very high standard. In addition, you will be tasked with ensuring that assigned projects are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance to client briefs, whilst working within budget.

Assume full responsibility for projects and notify team on potential issues which may arise
Edit and proofread a wide range of materials, including and not limited to; posters, slide decks, training modules, monographs and websites
Ensure all content is well presented and positioned correctly and make adjustments accordingly
Mark up, reformat, proofread materials and suggest improvements where necessary
Responsible for quality control checks of produced materials
Promote and adhere to in house working style whilst working within the ABPI code of practice
Work effectively within the team to deliver projects on time and within budget
Identify training and learning opportunities and deliver training sessions when required
Advise junior members of the team to improve group performance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Life science degree (BSc or MSc with a preference for pharmacology/pharmacy, medicine, or biomedical sciences)
Previous experience of working as an editor in a medical communications agency
Excellent copy editing and proofreading skills
Experience of editing for scientific integrity as well as flow, syntax, grammar and spelling
Ability to do mark ups in Word and Adobe
Attention to detail
