Our client is a medical communications agency who are seeking a Senior Medical Editor to join their team in Oxford on a hybrid working basis.
Working alongside the medical writing team, you will be responsible for the editing and production stages of assigned projects, across a wide range of therapeutic areas and materials. You will contribute to the layout for journal submissions, PowerPoint and Word documents and closely with the team to ensure the successful delivery of projects to the agency’s high standards.

We can only progress with candidates who have previous editing and proof ready experience gained in a med comms environment, who are UK based and are able to attend the Oxford office 2 days a week. Responsibilities:
Edit and proofread content (both print and digital) for spelling, grammar, sense, accuracy, flow, readability, consistency and style
Check that the language, tone and content are appropriate for the audience
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all assigned projects are produced to the brief, quality standards, on time, and to the agreed production budget
Conduct referencing tasks, including data checking, marking-up of references and use of Endnote and Zinc/Veeva
Be well versed on the relevant compliance codes, e.g. ABPI, EFPIA
Work closely with team and proactively communicate regarding project status and tracking deadlines
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Educated to degree level in a life science
Proven medical editing and proof reading gained in a medical communications agency environment
Be a team player who supports and mentors other team members
Seek to learn and develop in the role, working with your line manager on your objectives
Good attention to detail
