Our client is a growing healthcare communications agency, seeking a Scientific Director to lead the delivery of medical communications projects from their London or Kent offices.
As Scientific Director you will be driving account development from editorial, scientific and strategic perspectives. You’ll also be supporting writers of all levels by providing guidance, constructive feedback and expanding their experience across medcomms projects.

Ensures all ongoing projects are strategically aligned and scientifically accurate
Responsible for maintaining relationships with key clients and medical experts for continued growth
Undertakes the writing, editorial or strategic development of projects and ensures that deliverables reflect client requirements and are optimally presented
Defines clear goals, objectives and processes for the team
Proactively provides recommendations for process improvement and ensures that all members of the team follow processes
Delegates the editorial workload and budgets from an editorial perspective to ensure the completion of the editorial aspects of projects on time and to the client’s brief
Through comprehensive knowledge, ensures awareness and understanding of relevant compliance guidelines, both general and client-specific, and takes responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered accordingly
Proactively identifies opportunities within existing accounts, and plays a key role in the organic growth of accounts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Life Science degree, preferable MSc or PhD
Prior experience within a medical communications agency
Line manages and mentors; able to provide honest and timely feedback
Good planning and organisation skills; able to prioritise across the team
