Sustained growth leads our client to seek a Scientific Advisor to be based in their West London offices. Our client is an international medical communications agency with offices in London and the USA.
The role of the Scientific Advisor is to act as the scientific lead on key oncology accounts, and manage the development of client communication programmes for educational and promotional campaigns.
You will be responsible for scientific quality control for assigned accounts, and in addition, will help the team to be mindful of compliance whilst promoting and delivering work of the highest scientific standards, with a focus on medical content, therapeutic expertise, literature awareness, and data knowledge and understanding.

To develop briefs and project specifications for assigned account teams
Generate ideas and complete projects that are highly scientific and technical in nature
Write, review, edit, and proof copy to ensure materials meet the brief, are compliant and reach the highest quality standards
Develop relationships with clients and key opinion leaders, and represent the company at external meetings
Be a champion for the knowledge that you gather across the business
Ensure processes are in place to ensure all team members are up to date with data, new references and developments in the disease or drug area of responsibility
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Life Sciences degree; preferably MSc or PhD
Previous medical communications agency experience with the capability of translating technical and scientific data into accessible language for a variety of audiences
Knowledge of a range of therapeutic and scientific concepts, and be ability to communicate these to colleagues, clients, and external experts
Able to organise and prioritise multiple projects
Experienced in the application of industry codes of practice (e.g. ABPI, EFPIA) to ensure compliant output
Experience of writing copy for a range of materials for different audiences
Enthusiastic, confident and proactive team worker
This role will allow you to make and take the strategic decisions based on the science that will ultimately contribute to the project’s and brand’s overall success.
