Our client is a healthcare communications consultancy working on a variety of medical communication projects with the aim of bringing about improvements to patient outcomes. Due to continued success, they are seeking an Events Manager to work across an award winning portfolio of meetings and be based at their offices in Surrey.
In collaboration with expert healthcare professionals they deliver a large number of meetings across the UK annually. These range from small advisory board meetings to 1,000 people congresses and live and multi-site events where they provide education to HCPs to improve their knowledge and skills over a number of different diseases areas.
This is a new role specifically to drive the effective delivery of meetings-based projects. Our client is seeking candidates with experience of delivering a range of meetings incorporating stand alones, live broadcast meetings over multiple sites with live voting, congresses and symposia, and live and recorded webinars so the successful applicant will work across all internal teams (writers, creatives and client services).

Key day-to-day client contact, responding to client queries, providing regular status reports and being able to report on the status of any aspect of the meeting
Manage the project timelines, client expectations, internal processes and budgets
Responsible for managing all the logistics including venue selection & negotiation, contracts, subsistence, travel & accommodation as required. Management of all AV requirements, either directly with the venue or an external supplier
Liaison with speakers about the meeting logistics
Proactively recommend solutions and options to deliver the most successful meeting possible
Ensure a continuing good relationship with clients and that a consistently efficient and effective service is provided
Lead, coach and motivate the internal account team, providing support and advice
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Educated to degree level, preferably in a life science
Previous experience of delivering medical communications events/meetings for different audiences (multi-site meetings experience would be an advantage)
Previous experience of managing AV/digital companies to deliver technical support for a meeting
Excellent planning and organisational skills
General computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
