Client Services Director
Our client is a global medical communications agency with an excellent reputation for the calibre of work that they put out. Continued growth leads them to seek a Client Services Director to join their team in Central London or Cheshire.
As Client Services Director you will lead and motivate large account teams to excel with ongoing projects, providing strategic partnership and tactical direction both internally and to clients and opinion leaders. You will develop your teams while applying a high level of scientific and commercial expertise. You will be responsible for identifying organic growth opportunities and seeking ways to ensure competitive advantage through the delivery of a diverse range of projects. In this position you will be part of the wider company management as a member of the Management Team.
Our client works on medical education and communications materials in therapy areas including infectious disease and oncology, providing support for symposia, advisory boards, stand-alone meetings, communications platform development and training materials.

Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with key international contacts and medical opinion leaders
Provides clients with a high level of scientific and commercial expertise gained through extensive knowledge and experience of the industry and company services
Responsible for leading a large Account Team, including the establishment and maintenance of quality standards, cost efficiency and working practices
Provides strategic direction, promotes best practice and provides advice on tactical implementation to account team for large, more complex projects – promotes innovation/creativity
Provides assistance to other account teams / divisions when needed and shares best practice, knowledge and ideas with other account teams and divisions
Overall responsibility for all project finance within the account to ensure cost-efficiency and competitiveness – including ensuring efficiency of working between client service teams and other departments
Pitches for and wins new business with new / existing clients
Manages career development of team members to ensure maximum employee satisfaction and development at the same time as productivity
Involvement in company-wide initiatives and acts as an ambassador both internally and externally
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A life sciences degree or PhD
Significant experience in a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical environment with time at a management level
You will have a wealth of account-handling experience gained within a medical communications agency
You will have previous experience successfully managing staff working on large-scale projects
Extensive experience of all agency services
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills

Team Player and company advocate
