My client is a successful medical communications agency which is currently seeking an Account Director to lead the delivery of communications programmes from either their London or Cheshire offices.
The successful candidate will be working across a range of global accounts working on manuscripts, posters, events etc. You will be accountable for client relationships and will be aware of the status of client business at all times. Day-to-day work will include effective delivery of all account projects, management of the team, quality assurance and new business initiatives.

Providing strategic medical communications and project management leadership for client and team
Providing effective project strategic leadership for all aspects of the account and key programmes
Ensuring client’s goals are met through creative communication programmes that achieve a client’s strategic objectives
Building new business opportunities with existing clients through intelligence gathering and proposal development
Line managing and mentoring account team members to achieve personal and company goals
Implementing, updating and monitoring SOPs to facilitate the delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget
In-depth understanding of financial status of account at all times
Identifying new business opportunities and assisting with new business pitches as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Life science degree, preferably a higher degree
Significant experience in delivering pharmaceutical marketing projects / programmes gained in an agency environment or equivalent setting
Ability to lead teams and maintain professional and productive client relationships
High-level of project management
Excellent communication skills
Initiative and common sense
