This is a chance to join the Medical Education division of a leading full service agency in a leadership role and be based in their central London office.

Background:

The medical education/medical communication division is a European operation delivering international programmes across a number of therapy areas. Services include medical writing, slide decks, materials, publications, content, etc. in multi-channel formats, delivery of meetings including symposia and advisory boards plus investigator meetings and stakeholder management.

Due to continued growth, there is a need for a very strong senior director who can bring excellent client counsel and new business experience to the team. This person will join the senior management team with the remit to deliver stability and growth.

Responsibilities:

Direction of assigned accounts, delivering programmes and projects to clients. Utilising team members for maximum budget efficiency and quality of service and mentoring team members to aid their personal and professional development, whilst also spending a significant amount of time on business development activities (with support) with the expectation of winning new accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities:

You will have a life science degree or higher degree. It is anticipated that this candidate will have demonstrable experience in medical education/communications including international experience. They will have run accounts and managed teams to deliver exceptional client work. They will have a flair for dealing with clients and the pursuit of new business including the creation of opportunities and development of proposals and pitching. They will be expected to have demonstrated significant positive impact on each of the businesses where they have previously worked.

The candidate will have worked in a number of therapeutic categories and be able to demonstrate an ability to work proficiently across areas and develop deeper scientific understanding where required. Specific expertise in any one therapy area is not requisite for this position; assimilation of key data and issues as required is essential.

The ideal candidate will also have a track record of developing new products and services in previous roles. This includes the planning and implementation activities required including development of new knowledge and skills among the team.
