Our client, an international Medical Communications Agency, has an opportunity for a medical writer to join their London based team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scientific expert for products/therapeutic areas and good understanding of the regulation and guidelines governing the supply, marketing and advertising of drugs in the UK and with knowledge internationally.
• Reviewing, editing, proofing and assisting with the creation of promotional materials in compliance with the law, the ABPI and IPHA codes of practice and company policy.
• Contributing to the development of product plans and strategies.
• Identifying, generating, interpreting/evaluating and disseminating scientific and clinical information on client products and their competitors to the appropriate teams.
• Developing abstracts, manuscripts, posters, slide presentations on clinical or scientific information
• Providing training and guidance to the in-house team on clinical and pharmaceutical information.
• Developing and maintaining internal information sources.
• Performing in-depth literature searches using on-line facilities and retrieving and analysing medical/scientific information from a number of sources.
• Ability to incorporate client/KOL feedback into written documents through direct or indirect correspondence.
• Working across various accounts whilst managing time and monitoring deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Life Science degree; preferably PhD
• Experience in creating and developing pharmaceutical marketing materials over a rage of media.
• Capable of mentoring more junior editorial staff
• Good eye for detail
• Team worker.
