My client is a medical communications company that produces a wide variety of written materials for global pharmaceutical company clients. In addition to traditional medical education materials, they also prepare international PR materials for their clients. They currently have an opportunity for a medical writer

Responsibilities:

My client is seeking a Medical Writer to work with their editorial team to produce high quality materials that communicate complex medical information in clear language. The successful candidate should have a scientific background and experience working in a medical communications agency, similar industry or equivalent knowledge.

Their medical writers are expected to prepare materials on a wide variety of therapy areas and should be able to review and understand new therapy areas quickly. Since they produce materials for diverse audiences, the ideal candidate will be able to adapt their writing style to suit medical professionals, the media or the general public where appropriate. Their communications focus not just on specific drugs or devices, but also on related disease areas.

Creativity is an important factor in this role and the successful candidate should be able to suggest story ‘hooks’ to interest the media in clinical data. Editorial team members are also expected to contribute to creative concepts for communications materials, particularly those aimed at the medical media.
