Our client, an international award-winning Medical Communications Agency based in Central London has a superb opportunity for an Account Director to join their passionate and creative team.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Understand and advise on the strategy underpinning client programmes and drive the development of communication programmes/plans, under guidance from Associate Director/Director
• You will be expected to retain and grow existing accounts and participates in new business activities
• Actively generate and pursue opportunities for organic growth with existing accounts/clients
• Generate new business leads within current client companies and new clients
• Support the broader team with particular focus on the senior management team and the major company goals
• Offer input, expertise and tactical support on client projects outside of the core clients and on meeting annual targets
• Provide management and broader team industry insight, strategic ideas and tactical solutions

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• You will possess exemplary written and verbal communication skills and editing ability.
• Previous agency experience or equivalent knowledge is essential
• Computer literate with a familiarity with databases/search tools – e.g. Reference Manager, DataVision
• Educated to at least degree level in life sciences
