This is a chance to join a multi award winning medical communications agency which blends science with cutting edge technology to promote the products of their top 10 pharma clients.
Purpose:
- To be a key driver of growth, through managing client account and team to ensure clients are serviced in accordance with the company's aims, objectives and culture, and projects delivered to the highest level of service and quality.
- Supporting CSD in the management and development of the Client Services team, through mentoring and development of team members
- To work closely with the CSD, Business Development Group, Senior Account Managers and Account Managers to maximise opportunities to grow the business with both existing and new clients.
- Driving proposals that answer the client's brief, objectives and expectations, resulting in successful conversions to projects.
Main Responsibilities Account Management:

To build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients from a strategic as well as a tactical point of view, building close relationships in order to understand objectives, standards required and anticipate needs.

To present proposals to clients within the time frame agreed with the client, and achieve the highest standards possible for each and every project and to ensure project success.

To ensure future business by recognising opportunities as early as possible, and by bringing the company's capabilities to the attention of the client, and be alert to opportunities for gaining new clients and liaise effectively with the Business Development Group in turning those opportunities to the maximum advantage.

To ensure all reports/documentation/artwork/materials sent to the client are checked by internal medical writers and are of consistently high standards.

To advise the client on future strategy/projects/coming events in order to maximise opportunities whilst keeping in mind benefits for the client.

To support other Account Managers whenever required.

To work closely with CSD and CEO in fostering and developing new products and services and their promotion to clients
Project Management:
Working with Project Team to ensure:

All client projects are delivered to the highest standards or quality and service, within budget and in line with company protocols and culture.

Contractors and suppliers provide value for money.
Management:

To lead and motivate the team towards successful project completion.

To support and mentor team members when necessary.

To be sensitive to the demands of other projects/teams, and communicate effectively across all areas of the company.

To build good working/friendly relationships with all staff.
Person Specification:
To be successful in this exciting and challenging role, candidates would ideally be talented medical communications professionals with:

Account management experience, gained in a communications or marketing agency or equivalent experience
-
Proven client relationship and business development experience
-
Strong science and/or medical knowledge and experience, gained through working within a scientific or healthcare environment
-
Experience of working within a dynamic and client focused environment
-
A consistent, proactive and positive approach
-
Strong personal and written communication skills
-
Well developed leadership and team management skills
-
Proven people development (coaching and mentoring) skills
