Our client is an independent healthcare communications agency that devises and delivers PR, Medical Education and Patient Engagement programmes for both Public Sector and Pharmaceutical clients. Due to growth they are currently seeking a senior account director to head up their Patient Engagement division, based in their London office.

The Company:

They provide strategic and creative PR & Medical Education solutions for national and international accounts. Their clients include the NHS as well as pharmaceutical companies with them actually delivering screening programmes into the community, as well as running peer-to-peer training programmes for healthcare professionals, disease awareness programmes and several global patient support programmes.

The Role:

The Patient Engagement division delivers patient support programmes, adherence tools, social marketing campaigns and disease awareness programmes for a range of pharmaceutical and public sector clients. Current accounts range from the largest ever patient support program, delivering materials, email reminders and web solutions across 33 countries to patient materials for Parkinson’s Disease; Contraception materials for teenagers and smoking cessation events.
This is a huge opportunity for an Account Director looking to progress their career in a pivotal role that will lead the growth of the division. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Life science degree; preferably a higher degree.
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion for patient communications, working on European & UK campaigns.
  • Ability to show exceptional organisational, budgeting and leadership abilities, including demonstrative award winning campaigns in your portfolio,
  • Experience of managing a team of healthcare communications professional.
  • Growing the division is a key part of the role - the candidate will need to demonstrate proven skills in developing new business and have an exceptional new business contacts list.
  • You will have a successful pharmaceutical marketing history gained within a Healthcare PR/Communications Agency, Pharmaceutical Company or equivalent environment.
