Job Purpose:

To lead designated client accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Assist with the organic growth of existing business as well as the development of future business and actively participate as a senior member of the team.

Responsibilities:

Functional:

• Develop strategic communications programmes for clients
• Lead designated account team(s) to deliver client communications programmes to a high standard; including but not limited to quality work, project management, budget control and programme evaluation
• Maximise current client business opportunities

Managerial:

• Actively develop and coach team members
• Implement the Personal Development Scheme for direct reports

Organisational:

• Initiate and drive new business opportunities
• Produce quality plans for new business pitches
• Actively participate on Senior Management Team and take responsibility for agency related activity.
• Proactively share knowledge with team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Life Science Degree
• PR/media experience, experience in healthcare communications either in an agency or in-house environment or equivalent combination of knowledge and education
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients
• Strong strategic skills
• Financial and business acumen
• Good negotiation skills
• Strong copy writing skills
• Organisation/planning ability
• Ability to delegate and motivate a team
• Good presentation skills
• Team player
• Adaptable
