A leading advertising and creative agency has an opportunity for a copywriter to join their multi award winning team. You will be working with some of the biggest names in healthcare on global, european and domestic accounts
Principal Role:
To initiate and develop both conceptual ideas and creative/factual copy for all items within the company’s offering. To ensure that all copy is accurate, creative, of the highest possible standard and fully compliant with the MCA/ABPI code of practice.
Responsibilities:
- To provide a wide range of initial concepts for every brief, in partnership with an art director
- To provide a range of executions based on a given concept
- To produce accurate, compelling, fully referenced copy for all materials
- To maintain responsibility of the job from briefing to production
- To ensure that every job that goes to client/print is of the highest possible standard
- To complete work within agreed timelines
- To have a full understanding of the different media available
- To be familiar with ABPI/MCA guidelines
- To bring final executions to presentation standard
- To amend work in line with suit/client comments
- To develop a core reference pack for each product (with the aid of suits/client medical department where necessary)
- To be familiar with any key papers pertaining to allotted brands
- To provide a highlighted reference pack with every new job that goes to client
- To challenge/question the work of all other members of the creative department
- To challenge/play an active role in art direction
- To assist in photographic shoots
- To assess the practical/economical viability of creative ideas
- To liaise with external suppliers within budgetary constraints
- To be aware of clients’ current and future needs
- To mentor junior creatives
- To present initial ideas internally
- To be aware of the impact one’s role/timelines have on the roles/timelines of others
- To ensure that all work is correct before final sign off
- To file/backup documents correctly
- To complete timesheets on a weekly basis
