Purpose:
To manage the co-ordination and administration of designated client accounts under the direction of the team leader
Dimension:
The Account Executive reports directly to the team leader. This role works closely with other members of the account, editorial, conference management and design teams
Nature/scope:
- To have an overall understanding of designated client accounts, and to understand the needs and requirements of each project
- To be the principal point of client contact on day-to-day administrative and logistical issues on designated accounts
- To track schedules and ensure that all client needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
- To manage administration on individual projects, to include: contact reports, schedules, status reports, budget reports and invoicing
- To manage the trafficking of material between internal departments, including copy and artwork and job bags
- To liaise with the Conference Manager on meetings logistics, and with the medical writers on faculty management
- Attendance at appropriate client meetings, congresses and exhibitions, as required
Core competencies and skills:
- Good interpersonal skills for contact with clients, internal departments and suppliers
- Overall understanding of designated client accounts, in order to provide accurate financial and project status reports and invoicing
- An appreciation of artwork, production editing, and house style, and an understanding of the print process
- Good understanding of internal processes and systems
- Writing ability
- To be able to take and give briefs
- Good organizational and administrative skills
- Team work, flexibility and a positive mental attitude
- Time management, including prioritization
- Good PC skills- Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Principal Accountabilities:
- To communicate project status to client, team, and other colleagues
- To ensure the administration and co-ordination of designated accounts runs smoothly and to deadline
- To produce accurate and high quality work to deadline
- To contribute towards account activity and development
Qualifications and experience:
Life science degree preferred, with 2 years relevant experience preferably in an agency or industry environment
