Job Purpose:
- To confidently lead the team on client accounts assigned to you
- To proactively develop your client base and team
- To manage your time effectively and delegate work to team members appropriatel

- To participate in the AD forum and make a contribution to the wider consultancy
- To reflect the core competencies of an Account Director at all times under the guidance of your line manager
Account direction:
- Ensuring projects objectives are evaluated
- On-going effective direction and management of client accounts under your remit, gaining the respect and trust of the account teams
- Client liaison and consulting on the strategic direction of accounts under your remit, gaining the respect and trust of the clients
- Effective implementation of account activities assigned to you
- Proactive programme development of existing accounts
- Demonstrate good anticipation and listening skills and demand excellence of the account team
- Regular and appropriate updates with the Director responsible the accounts under your remit
Budget management:
- Accurate invoicing (on time) and budget tracking
·ensuring timesheets are completed accurately and on time
Developing business:
- Identification of new business opportunities in target areas
- Developing proposals and accurate budgets for prospective and existing clients
- Confident presentation of new business proposals
Management responsibilities:
- Team coaching, development and training (where appropriate)
- Responsibility for junior team members within the mentoring/ PDP scheme
- Participation in recruitment process
- Proactive liaison with management team to identify appropriate projects that will contribute to the wider consultancy
Training:
- A training schedule will be put in place after the three month probationary period
Appraisals:
Every three to six months
Experience required:
- Science or PR degree preferred but not essential
- UK Ethical or Consumer Healthcare PR knowledge essential
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Strong client consultation skills and strategic thinking
- Range of experience of communication within product lifecycle
- Good knowledge of the NHS and the issues affecting it (NICE etc)
- Relevent experience of working with patient groups and KOLs
- People management experience
- Budget management experience
- Team leader and motivator
Salary and Benefits:
