Hot Job - Medical Writer

This is an excellent opportunity to join and awarding winning medical communications agency with a great reputation in the industry. They are looking for someone to join their medical writing team in Cheshire to help drive the business forward.

Purpose:

To prepare scientific content of medical communications that satisfy client needs in terms of quality, commercial focus, timing and cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Project work:

• To write and edit scientific content for a range of medical communications, according to client needs, deadline, budget and internal quality standards, as directed by the Lead Writer or Editorial Team Leader

Business Planning/commercial:

• To contribute to account plans, strategic publication plans and publication programmes, where appropriate, by maintaining current awareness of developments in therapeutic area or discipline and the product portfolio.

Financial:

• To monitor own adherence to budget and utilisation rate
• To record and monitor actual time spent on a project against budgeted time, and complete timesheets in an accurate and timely manner.

Organisational:

• To support team working principles within the business unit, account team and other departments and collaboration between business units by attending team and editorial meetings/tutorials

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Life science degree, preferably higher degree
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry/healthcare, medical communications agency, publishing or equivalent environment
