Our client is a mental health charity who is seeking a medical writer to use their published research to create more accessible information to a wider community through a range of media and platforms.
Our client publishes two academic journals in the area mental health with the highest quality clinically relevant research in psychology, psychiatry and related disciplines. Articles published include experimental, longitudinal and intervention studies, especially those that advance understanding of developmental psychopathology and that inform both theory and clinical practice.
They are a membership organisation that bring together professionals from a range of disciplines to advance standards and support the professional development of all those working to support the mental health of children and young people.
This is a full time position based out of their London offices although there is some scope for flexible working. This is a unique opportunity to provide writing services in a not for profit setting and along with a good salary, you can expect a generous 5% pension contribution along with 25 days holidays.
The reports in my client’s two journals are written in highly technical language, often with complex statistical analyses. They are keen to take the information published in their journals and make them more accessible to the wider community of professionals in an accurate and non-sensationalist way. It is envisaged that a range of different media forms will be used from traditional summary texts to website entries and blogs, with a further scope in Continuing Professional Development activities.
